GT Asia got under way this weekend. Absolute Racing had three cars in action.
Surprisingly, they had trouble with mechanical issues that plagued two different cars. The #9, which was driven by Andrew Palmer, tossed an engine in qualifying. Then the #8, driven by defending champion Adderly Fong, had a gear box malfunction as it was pulling to the grid.
The #9 would have to start dead last due to its engine swap, but battled back to P8. The third Absolute car, the #7, ended up winning the whole thing, making the weekend for the team.
